PA-AAUP Participates in AFT/AAUP Lobbying Day

Our PA-AAUP participated in an AFT/AAUP lobbying day on September 18, 2025. This event was part of the AFT/AAUP’s fight for a federal budget with no cuts to research or student aid. Our state lobbying team from the PA-AAUP, American Federation of Teachers, and Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties (APSCUF) visited Pennsylvania legislators to discuss pending legislation, and to share stories on the importance of higher education for our students, families, communities, and our economy. We ended the day with members, advocates, and legislators from across the country at  a press event in front of the U.S. Capitol to launch official campaign “Higher Education: Saving Lives. Building Futures. Powering the Economy.”
